Don’t ask me the reason why

Like a sand in the hourglass,
With memories as green as morning grass,
My childhood passed me by,
Don’t ask me the reason why.

Into that small mind of mine,
Scenario of this competitive world
Was fed to race against time,
That made my adolescence whirled.

The memories like dry leaf
Started falling from the tree
As the autumn of maturity peep
With an aim to be established and free

When manhood will knock the door,
With an opportunity to be man
The last leaf will fall on the floor
As I will start making journey ahead plan

Having experienced this bitterness
Of missing the days with all sweetness
My childhood passed me by,
Don’t ask me the reason why.

I am your first finger...

Remember… around the age of one year,
Helping you to start communicating clear
Making successful your every pointing gesture,
I am your first finger,
Tells me, my index finger

As you grow older, you started walking
Whenever you followed your dad’s stepping,
I helped you in pace-maintaining
Just as you don’t go wandering,
I am your first finger,
Tells me, my index finger

Went inside your ear and nose,
Itched your eyes and brows,
I always stayed close,
Whether life’s ups or lows,
I am your first finger,
Tells me, my index finger

Your best buddy for study hour,
Helped you mug up with my tip like scholar,
When you aim for Rank 1, I was your motivator,
Never demanded any Booker or Oscar,
I am your first finger,
Tells me, my index finger

When it was time for life-making decision,
Why you altered my every expectation,
I want you to go ahead by explaining
Why you awarded my second brother by ring-exchanging,
I am your first finger,
Asks my my index finger.

What else I need...

What else I need,
You have gifted me my dream world indeed.
With you, why world treats special to me.
Tell me, tell me, tell me...
You make me feel as royal,
Like a king in his own soil.
You take me through that narrow world,
That seems to be very curled.
Even in dreams, I watch you unable to miss,
That’s why I peck you a kiss,
Before I fall asleep
What else I need,
You have gifted me my dream world indeed.
